Project Run

Tasmania

Join us for a trail running adventure…

Come for the trails…

Stay for the community.

15 October - 19 October 2026.

Experience Tasmania like never before. Over five unforgettable days, you’ll explore a mix of coastal and mountainous trails alongside a group of like-minded runners. This is so much more than just a running trip - it’s a fully guided trail experience designed to challenge you, reset you, and connect you with people who share your sense of adventure.

Why Project Run?

We take the thinking out of it. You just show up and run! We handle the routes, the logistics, and the experience so you can lock in on the trails, the people and the adventure. We THRIVE on small group adventures to allow for more personalised pacing and support, flexibility across all runs and most importantly a strong group connection.

What to expect…

Arrive, settle in and meet the crew. We’ll kick things off with a 30 minute shakeout run from town followed by pizza, drinks and a full trip briefing.

Day 1 - Thursday October 15th.

Our first major adventure starts right from the heart of Hobart, heading straight into the mountains. We’ll climb 15km through the trails of kunanyi (Mount Wellington), moving from forest into alpine terrain, with sweeping views over the harbour city below. It’s a proper introduction to what Tasmania has to offer. A support vehicle will meet us at the summit, you can run back down or catch a lift. The choice is yours! Later in the arvo we will treat ourselves to a recovery session at Nova Holistic Spa Centre where you can sweat it out in the sauna, test out your pain threshold in the ice bath or simply enjoy a relaxing therapeutic float in a magnesium hot tub.

Day 2 - Friday October 16th.

With a big day in the legs, we’ll ease things back slightly. We’ll share some historic insights in the harbour before a shorter 12km run up a quiet trail with panoramic views to get things moving. We’ll part ways at the famous Salamanca Markets and give you the day to explore Hobart, grab a good coffee, or just slow things down and reset. We’ll regroup in the evening with dinner to refuel for one last big day ahead.

Day 3 - Saturday October 17th.

We’ll jump on the bus and head an hour out of Hobart to hit our favourite coastal trail. This 18km stretch of trail is full of surprises and finishes up in a beautiful bay where we will set up for a BBQ lunch. We’ll soak up the scene before a sneaky 5km run/hike out to one of the most picturesque cliffs in all of Tasmania! The bus will come pick us up from the bay and we’ll go get cleaned up for a final reminiscent group dinner.

Day 4 - Sunday October 18th.

Day 5 - Monday October 19th.

Let's get into one last little 5km trot along the harbour, then enjoy some good coffee and our final moments together. Leave feeling stronger, clearer and more connected with memories that will last a lifetime.

Your questions, answered.

  • You don’t need to be an elite runner, or an experienced ultra runner, but you should feel comfortable covering 15km and able to run on back-to-back days. Some experience on trails or hills will help.

  • This isn’t a race. We move as a group, or potentially two groups depending on numbers. There is flexibility built into each day with options to shorten runs and support is always available if needed.

  • Not necessarily, however, you should be prepared for it. There are some uneven sections of terrain and some with a little bit of climbing. The routes are specifically designed to be challenging but achievable.

  • Accommodation, transport, guided runs, support vehicles, meals (as listed), professional photography, nutrition guidance, recovery, strength and condition sessions are all included. You just need to get yourself to Hobart!

  • We stay in comfortable, well-located accommodation in Hobart, making it easy to access both the trails and everything the city has to offer. Options include twin share or private rooms.

  • All transport is organised. We go to and from as a group.

  • We will provide all participants with GPX maps prior to the tour. We will also have contacts for each of the guides and support staff available.

That and with three guides, ultimately we should always be together!

  • Absolutely. In fact, most people do. The group dynamic is a big part of the experience and you’ll quickly feel part of it.

  • Whilst you will be physically challenged, the experience has been curated to get you exploring Hobart and surrounds with a sense of adventure. This is not a training camp; it’s an adventure experience.

  • es, the experience will be professionally captured and you’ll receive high quality photos from the trip.

  • Yes, we highly recommend travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes, injuries or travel disruptions.

  • A detailed equipment list will be provided in the lead up, however, a hydration vest and trail shoes are highly recommended.

  • Remaining amount will be due 30 days from tour start date.
